Beeswax for Sewing

These wonderful little tools are made of pure beeswax and come in assorted shapes and with assorted ribbon colours. To keep your thread from tangling while hand sewing, simply run the beeswax  lightly down the length of your thread. We find that the easiest way to do this is to hold the threaded needle between the beeswax and your thumb and then pull the needle so the thread runs between your thumb and the beeswax. All of these beeswax pieces are approximately the same volume and will therefore last equally long. The ribbon farms a handy loop for attaching your beeswax to your chatelaine. Approximately 2.5cm - 5cm (1" - 2") in length.
