This is an attractive piece that is both functional and very period for the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. It is made of natural cow or water buffalo horn, so each comb has different patterns and colouring. These combs are typically worn to hold a bun or chignon in place, or to hold hair hack at each temple. Approximately 10.25cm x 9cm (4" x 3").
