The most famous model to be produced by the Charleville armoury was the standard infantry arm of the French army during the Napoleonic Wars. Its steel barrel bands made for easy maintenance and its brass pan resisted corrosion. This .69 calibre musket carried Napoleons armies to victory after victory.
