Canadian $ Conversion

Because the Baker rifle was shorter than the standard infantry musket, it was provided with the substantial sword bayonet rather than the more usual triangular section model fitted to the musket. As a result the order in the rifle regiments was to ‘fix swords’ rather than ‘fix bayonets’.
