The Baker rifle was the British army’s long range skirmishing weapon of the Napoleonic period. It remained in use from 1800 until replaced by the Brunswick rifle in 1838, seeing extensive use in Europe and North America. In the hands of the famous 95th and 60th riflemen, this .62 calibre weapon provided the deadly accuracy that was missing in the common musket. Our model is not rifled. The smooth bore makes for easier maintenance.
Note: bayonet NOT included. Shown for scale
